2023 , Implementation of a sustainable development plan: We are proud to have signed the "Beyond Chocolate 2025" charter, whose "main ambition is to ensure that more than 140,000 cocoa farmers who grow cocoa for the Belgian market earn an income from their hard work by 2030. When farmers earn a decent income, it also helps tackle the root causes of child labor and deforestation."
2024, the Café-Tasse brand, on its way to Rainforest Alliance certification: Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization working at the intersection of business, agriculture and forests to make responsible business the new normal. We are building an alliance to protect forests, improve the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.
Finding solutions for environmentally-friendly alternatives:
  • The design of our reusable cotton bags meets strict ecological standards, with the OEKO -TEX label and the use of sustainable materials.
  • The cardboard and paper we use are PEFC-certified from sustainable forests. "Only products originating from PEFC-certified forests and then from an uninterrupted manufacturing and marketing chain of certified companies can carry the PEFC label".
  • We favor the use of natural, non-toxic and biodegradable inks.
  • Responsible energy consumption is very important to us. We actively seek to reduce our energy footprint by implementing measures such as installing solar panels, optimizing insulation and the cold chain. In this way, we minimize our impact on the environment and contribute to the preservation of natural resources.
  • Protecting the environment is one of our top priorities. Every year, we invest in ecological improvements, recycle energy, waste and water, and use environmentally-friendly packaging.
  • We encourage partnerships with local suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint.
  • The well-being of our team members is essential.
We have put in place an integration policy, we offer health and safety training, promote the personal growth of our employees and collaborate daily with disabled workers from Sheltered work places.
